Hi, I’m Joshua Wilkinson-founder of Fountain of Youth Bath. If you’ve ever stood under a hot shower hoping the day’s stress could swirl down the drain with the water, you’re not alone. That’s exactly where this journey began for me.

Years ago, while renovating an old home with a particularly stubborn clawfoot tub, I realized how little practical, straightforward guidance existed for something as universal as bathing. From choosing the right fixtures to understanding the real benefits of a mineral soak, the information was scattered and often steeped in sales talk. So, I decided to create something different – a space that focuses not on selling you a bath bomb, but on helping you make your bathroom truly rejuvenating.

Fountain of Youth Bath is an evolving guide to everything you ever wanted to know about baths and showers and a few things you didn’t realize you needed to know. Whether you’re figuring out how to make your bathroom safer for an aging parent, want to understand the difference between steam and soak therapy, or you’re simply looking to install a shower that doesn’t scream 1990s motel, we’re here to help.

We dig into plumbing questions without making them sound like a trade exam. We unpack the art of a relaxing bath in a way that’s both scientific and sensory. We explore options for babies, elders, and everyone in between, because we believe good bathing is for all bodies.

What makes us different? We write like people who actually use their tubs. Our goal isn’t to overwhelm you with technical jargon it’s to translate what we’ve learned (and continue to learn) into language that actually helps. Every article is built around clarity, care, and real life experience.

From water pressure tweaks to the deeper value of soaking rituals, we’ve got plenty to share. This site is for the curious, the cautious, the comfort-seekers and anyone who just wants their bathroom to be a better place.

So welcome. Run the water, ease in, and stay as long as you like.

Meet the Mind Behind the Bath

Before Fountain of Youth Bath, I spent over 12 years in residential design and renovation, working closely with families, aging homeowners, and young parents alike. I wasn’t flipping houses for Instagram most days I was knee-deep in pipes, tile, or making sure a custom walk in tub met both code and comfort.

I studied architectural drafting in community college and later earned a certification in home accessibility modifications. Which deepened my respect for how bathing spaces affect daily life and wellbeing.

Time and again, I saw people treat their bathrooms as stopovers places to rush in and out. But I saw potential for so much more. This site is built on that belief. It’s not just about better faucets or softer lighting.

It’s about building a space that supports rest, safety, and renewal whether you’re bathing your newborn, recovering from surgery, or just trying to reclaim a moment of peace.
